Newborn Photography in Japan

The idea of newborn photography is still quite new in Japan.  While newborn photography has been pretty popular in the US and other countries for about 7-8 years now, it's still unknown to most Japanese people.

This is starting to slowly change, especially as more young people are using social media like Instagram.  In fact, since I opened my studio in Kyoto, I've been surprised how many of my newborn clients have found me through Instagram.

I hope in the future all expectant parents will be aware of newborn photos and especially how important the timing of the newborn photo shoot is.  It's so important to come in during the first 2-3 weeks, so we can really capture how your little baby looked when they were brand new.

I know that my daughters' newborn photos are some of my most precious possessions I have, and I hope to be able to create that for many more clients in the coming years!
